Your hosts are Michael and Julie Blades. Michael and Julie are from the localised area and are very committed to the local community and businesses.

You will always find us very willing to help in any way we possibly can with one of us in the office from 8am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 9pm Sunday. After hours contact is also available.

We pride ourselves on the presentation and cleanliness of all of our rooms and now that our room renovations are complete we are upgrading the Bar-B-Que facilities including food prep area, sink, refrigerator and many more extras.

OUR MOTEL

Central Motel ipswich is a Star Ratings Australia 3 Star accredited Motel situated in the heart of Ipswich. Central Motel is the only budget priced Motel in Ipswichs’ CBD.

Your hosts, Michael and Julie Blades, offer top class service and well presented, clean rooms. All of our rooms have been recently refurbished with new bedding/furniture and the ensuite bathrooms totally retiled.

We offer four room types including Two bedroom family rooms which sleep up to six people, Queen/double sleeping 2-4 people, Queen/single sleeping up to 3 people and Queen sleeping up to 2 people. Fold out beds are also available on request for extra persons.

You can walk to everything from Central Motel including;

• Central city shopping.
• St Andrews and Ipswich general hosptials.
• Restuarants/fast food outlets
• Doctors and specialists within the ‘Medical Precinct’.
• Railway sation and buses.

OUR HISTORY

The Central Motel Ipswich was built in circa 1984 and was named the Mary Ellen after the original owner for many years after.

The motel contains 14 spacious rooms complete with en-suited bathrooms and also has undercover parking available. Central Motel has survived the 2011 and 2013 floods because of its elevated position but the enormity of those floods could be seen from the motel balconies.

The name Mary Ellen was changed to Central Motel Ipswich in the late 1990s and had undergone some renovations by then.

In August 2015 the motel was sold to Michael and Julie Blades who immediately commenced renovations.

The motel rooms are now up to date with the bathrooms totally retiled, 32” flat screen televisions, new split air conditioners and much more.
