BrisAsia Festival, set to light up Brisbane from 1st to 18th February 2024, is a vibrant celebration of Lunar New Year, marking the Year of the Dragon. Embodying power and luck, the dragon symbolises an auspicious start to the year, making the festival an ideal place for families to connect with diverse Asian cultures.

- Southside Dumpling Festival: Indulge in a culinary journey with dumplings and East-Asian cuisine at the inaugural festival in Fish Lane.

Festival Producers
Sounds Across Oceans (SAO) orchestrates the festival, led by a team including Gemma Truong (Utopia Entertainment), Menaka Thomas, Minh Nguyen, Lani Gibbins, and Loic Robillot. SAO, known for promoting community harmony through cultural programming, collaborates with various partners such as the Museum of Brisbane and Brisbane Powerhouse.
BrisAsia Live Fellowship and Residency
The BrisAsia Live Fellowship fosters young talent in music, dance, and visual art. The fellowship culminates in a creative residency, producing the show “The Shape of Us” at Brisbane Powerhouse. This year’s residency features interdisciplinary art-making, showcasing talents like Bindu Rajendran, Chi Lui Flora Wong, Lake Kelly, Sarala, Tsoof Baras, and Zi Wang.
